FREQUENTLY ASKED

How do I restore my purchases on a new device?

Settings → Film Packs → Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used to purchase.

Is there a subscription?

No. Retro Film uses one-time purchases. Buy a pack once, own it forever. The Classic Kodak pack (5 films) is free.

Where are my photos stored?

All photos are stored locally on your device in the Photos library and in the app's sandbox. Nothing is uploaded to any server.

Why does the camera look black in the simulator?

The iOS Simulator does not provide a camera feed. Retro Film works fully on physical devices — install via TestFlight or the App Store.

Can I request a specific film stock?

Yes! We love feature requests. Email us the film name and a few sample photos you'd like us to match.

Does Retro Film work on iPad?

Retro Film is currently optimized for iPhone. iPad support is planned for a future update.

Will there be an Android version?

Not currently planned. Retro Film relies on iOS-specific frameworks (Core Image, Metal, SwiftUI) for its look and performance.
